IELTS SPEAKING FORECAST CHỦ ĐỀ SPEAKING PART 3. ROUTINE
1. Should children have learning routines?
Absolutely. Establishing consistent routines helps children develop a sense of discipline, which is critical to their overall development and academic success. The reason is that a structured schedule gives them stability and predictability, and provides a framework for learning. In particular, I guess kids at primary school will stick with toys and TV if they don’t have a schedule.
- Establishing consistent routines: Thiết lập các thói quen nhất quán
- Discipline: kỷ luật
- Structured schedule: lịch trình cụ thể
2. What are the advantages of children having a routine at school?
There are tons of benefits to having a routine at school. It enhances students’ time management skills, organization, and responsibility. As a result, students are more likely to complete assignments on time, prioritize tasks, and manage their study schedule. I also believe that routines can promote concentration and focus, as children know what to expect and can mentally prepare for different activities throughout the day.
- Enhances: nâng cao
- Time management skills: kỹ năng quản lý thời gian
- Responsibility: tinh thần trách nhiệm
- Are more likely to V: có thể
3. Does having a routine make kids feel more secure at school?
I would say so. Regular schedules reduce anxiety and uncertainty by providing familiarity and consistency. This is because when children know what to expect and have a predictable schedule, they feel more comfortable and confident in their learning environment. However, I would add that routines ought to be flexible since everyone is unique. Students may have different abilities and demands. Therefore, if they are forced to do things at the same pace, they may feel disrespected.
- reduce anxiety: giảm đi sự lo lắng
- familiarity and consistency: sự quen thuộc và nhất quán
- flexible : linh hoạt
- unique: duy nhất
4. How do people’s routines differ on weekdays and weekends?
I suppose on weekdays, most people follow a structured routine centred around work or school. This may include getting ready, commuting and attending classes or work. On weekends, routines tend to be more flexible and leisure-oriented, allowing for relaxation, personal hobbies, spending time with family and friends, and engaging in activities that promote self-care and rejuvenation.
- centred around: xoay quanh
- leisure-oriented: hướng đến giải trí
- rejuvenation: trẻ hóa, phục hồi sức sống
5. What daily routines do people have at home?
Lifestyles, responsibilities, and personal preferences can greatly influence what a person does at home. I reckon common home routines may include tasks such as cooking and meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, caring for pets. To strike a healthy work-life balance, people can also engage in hobbies or leisure activities like reading, painting and spending time with their family.
- reckon : cho rằng
- laundry ; giặt giũ
- strike a healthy work-life balance (idiom): giữ cân bằng giữa công việc và cuộc sống
6. What are the differences between people’s daily routine now and in the last 15 years?
Over the past decade, several factors have changed people’s daily routines, especially the younger generation. The rise of social media and the widespread use of smartphones has introduced various elements to daily routines, such as more screen time and digital connectivity. Additionally, changes in work patterns, flexible work arrangements, and evolving societal norms have influenced how people structure their days. People may now have more control over their schedules, allowing for greater customization and flexibility in managing personal and professional commitments.
- The rise of social media: sự phát triển của phương tiện truyền thông
- more screen time and digital connectivity: dùng thiết bị điện tử và kết nối mạng nhiều hơn evolving societal norms : chuẩn mực xã hội đang thay đổi
