Personally, I enjoy both e-books and traditional ones, as each format offers its own unique experience. Digital versions provide convenience and accessibility, while paper ones offer a tangible connection to the story and a sensory reading experience. However, I admit that there are some certain drawbacks to electronic books. For example, you can’t flip through one to get a sense of how long it is or how much progress you’ve made. Additionally, you can’t physically highlight or underline the main ideas to better enumerate information.

3. Why are mystery novels so popular nowadays?

There is always an element of surprise and suspense that keeps readers hooked and eager to find out the solution. Also, immersing ourselves in a mystery… a detective story… is a great way to escape into a different world, isn’t it?

Similarly, the Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien has been turned into a successful film series due its epic scope and beloved characters.

I’m not an avid fan of novels, so maybe I’m wrong… but I guess bestsellers today often focus on fantasy and science fiction, while novels years ago usually revolved around romance, mystery, and adventure. Additionally, modern books often feature diverse characters and tackle social issues. Older novels tended to depict a single protagonist’s journey.

Unlike the fast-paced and often competitive nature of computer games, books provide a tranquil and immersive experience. The act of reading, with its ability to transport readers to different worlds and perspectives, can be a form of self-care, allowing individuals to unwind and recharge the batteries.
